Finding the best and most effective regimen to work out lower abs is a big challenge. It is an awful discouragement when your efforts are not paying off, giving you the feeling that you are doing it wrong. Read on the information below to find out more important details.

It is imperative that you be aware of the basics of exercise. First, exercises focused on your lower abs alone will not remove the excess fats contained in there. To get rid of them, you have to shake the excess fat off your entire body.

Bear in mind that the workout needed by your abs and the one for your other muscles are not one and the same. If you want to work on your biceps, do three sets of ten repetitions of a number of exercises. If your lower abs are your deemed targets, then you need to use a particular set of exercises but with minimal rest throughout the entire routine. This is known as abdominal circuit training.

You may want to try the following as part of your workout.

The first is known as Alternating Supine Leg Walks. Lie flat on the floor, hands placed underneath your buttocks. Raise your legs to a vertical position. Make your abs contract to make your midsection tensed. Let down one leg, allowing the foot slightly off the ground. Maintain the position for maybe a second before returning to your former position. Do this with the other leg. Do a few repetitions of this.

Next is the Supine Reverse Crunches. The original lying position in the alternating supine leg walks is also used in here. The legs have to be in a vertical position. Having done so, bend both knees to an angle of about 90 degrees. As your abs contract, the midsection area becomes tense. After about a second, begin lowering down your knees until the back of your feet are only a couple of inches off the floor. As you repeat this a couple of times, make sure your abs constrict.

Again, lie down with both hands underneath your buttocks. Raise the legs just a bit so to make them vertical. Make the midsection area contract as you engage your upper abs. Afterwards, lower both legs but the back of both feet must not touch the floor. Hold for a couple of seconds before going back to your vertical position. This is known as Leg Lifts. Do several of this.

These three exercises are components of an effective lower ab exercise regimen. If you suffer from lower back difficulties, ask your doctor’s advice regarding appropriate exercises that you can use.

Determination and an efficient regimen will help you work out lower abs to get that slim figure!

One thing many people wonder about is what the best ab exercises are to include in your program regularly so you can get a set of six pack abs.

It’s no surprise that many people make getting six pack abs a priority due to the fact that when you have them, no one questions your commitment to fitness and being in shape – you know what you’re doing in the gym, no questions asked.

But, what are the best ab exercises to be doing on a regular basis?

Here are the main points to consider.

Stability

The first way to really increase the benefits you get from your six pack exercises is reducing your stability. When we are on an unstable surface it will force the abdominal muscles to contract that much harder, kicking your six pack workout up to the next level.

Exercise balls work great for this reason – they will make you very unstable and cause the abdominals to contract dramatically.

Weighted Ab Exercises

Some people claim that the best ab exercises will be weighted ab work since they increase the total stimulus that’s place on the abdominal tissue. It isn’t entirely clear though how true this is.

On one hand you will definitely have a higher stimulus on the abs when doing weighted ab exercises, but on the other hand, if you’re not careful it could also cause your abs to become wider.

Since this is not something most people are going for, it proves to be problematic.

Crunch-Free Work

Finally, also remember that you don’t necessarily have to be doing crunches to see good results from your program. Many times crunches are actually going to be the least effective and you’d be far better off doing something where you’re standing upright or in a totally different body position.

Many people overlook the importance of side abs and allocate most of their time training only the front abs. While front abs are more prominent, strengthening your side abs can make your entire abdominals muscles look more well-defined. Below are two ab workouts which can train your side abs in isolation.

Firstly, the “Side Cross” targets the muscles on each side of your stomach which most of the ab workouts cannot.

Lie on your back with your knees bent.

Cross your arms across your chest.

Lift your right shoulder towards your left knee.

Lift your left shoulder towards your right knee.

You may either complete alternate sides for each repetition or do all of your repetitions on one side and then all of your repetitions on the other side. Begin each repetition while you flex your abs. Rest between repetitions if necessary (your neck relaxed). Exhale on each repetition and draw your navel in towards your spine. To increase the intensity, bring your fingertips behind your head while your elbows remain on the side. If this exercise is too challenging, reach your hand toward your opposite knee.

While “Side Cross” can train your side abs, it is unable to train the muscles underneath the sides of your stomach. For that, you will need the “Inside Side Cross”.

Lie on your back with your arms to your sides.

Slide your right hand towards your right foot.

Switch sides and repeat.

Remember to exhale on each repetition and draw your navel in toward your spine. Your head and neck should remain aligned. Although it’s practically impossible to see some of the abdominals muscles that are working underneath, they keep your stomach in when you maintain your posture. Don’t try to bend too far in either directions when you do this exercise.

Most importantly, you abs should be given 24 to 48 hours of rest just like other muscle groups. Your muscles form up between these training days. However, too much rest between workouts can hurt your progress. In as little as 72 hours, the benefits of your hard work for all these months can begin to disappear.

Do you find it frustrating to achieve your desired body? It doesn’t mean that if you train your body harder, you will develop muscles quicker. To summarize, bodybuilding is all about science!

How can the average person achieve six pack abs and a lean muscular body? In fact, is it even possible without expensive ab exercise gadgets, fad diets, or dubious weight loss pills and supplements? Everyone knows how to lose excess weight if they are really honest, it requires some exercise and a balanced diet. Similarly to build a lean body with six pack abs, there are sensible and safe ways of doing it, and they don’t involve pills or expensive ab workout gadgets. In this article we will look at how.

Many people looking to build six pack abs are not aware that they likely already have well developed abdominal muscles, certainly more than they think, without needing specific ab exercises. However, any abdominal muscles they have are often hidden by the layers of excess fat most of us carry around our waist and abdomen. This highlights one of the keys to building the physique you desire – you need to lower your body fat percentage so that your abdominal muscles are visible.

For areas such as the upper arms this is not the case because there is much more muscle mass there than fat deposits, but for the abdomen it is critical. You can pound the miles on a treadmill and lift weights all day, but without burning excess fat your abs will remain firmly hidden! How can we lower our body fat percentage? The answer of course is a combination of sensible diet and exercise.

One method some people choose in an attempt to burn their excess fat and reveal those abs is drugs and diet pills. Everyone has seen advertisements for miracle supplements and the latest fat-burning pills, but do they actually work, and should you even consider using them? There are a number of different types of diet pills, firstly let us examine what they can do.

There do exist drugs which can help to increase the rate at which the body burns fat, they do this by increasing the metabolism. However such medications are not designed for use by healthy people, they are specifically for use in cases where a medical patient is dangerously obese and exercise and diet can no longer be used to lower their weight. These drugs are prescribed by doctors only in severe cases, and they have well documented side effects which are only risked in obese patients where this is the last resort.

The other type of diet pills tend to be natural supplements, which to be honest have very little if any effect on the body. The are often sold by commercial companies to desperate people seeking an easy way to lose weight without effort, and are certainly not going to have any effect on someone trying to build a ripped body with six pack abs.

The real, lasting, and safe method to build impressive abdominals and a toned body in general, is to make a commitment to a long term program combining regular exercise (to both burn fat and build muscle mass), and a sensible natural diet which provides all the healthy foods you body needs without adding additional reserves of fat. It sounds simple, of course, but actually following it through is the tough part. Most of us need some sort of guidance at the very least to make such a change work, for some people this involves hiring personal trainers, for others there are excellent books and programs available online which can break the steps down for anyone to follow.

If you are looking to build six pack abs and a lean, ripped body, without wasting money on the latest fad diets and ab machines, and without spending hours every day on a treadmill, visit SixPackABSWorkouts.net for an in depth look at the best options available.

Finding the best lower ab workout is not always an easy thing to do. It can be frustrating to keep trying to work the lower abs if you feel like you are not doing it right.

In this article, you will learn what it takes to have the best lower ab workout around.

Before we get into 3 exercises, it is important that you understand some basics about training the lower abs.

The first thing that you should understand is that just working the lower abs will not result in losing fat in that area. In order to lose fat in that area, you need to lose fat all over your body. This is how basic fat loss works. If you have a lot of fat to lose, then the best lower ab workout in the world won’t do the trick all by itself. The same goes for someone who just has to lose the last few pounds.

The good news is that doing a great lower ab workout safely and effectively will help to strengthen your core, as well as tone those muscles up for when you are in the single digits with body fat percentage =)

Losing fat all over your body requires that you do the right combination of strength training (don’t worry you will not get big and bulky), a special type of cardio called interval training, and most important, have a great diet.

Once you have those things under control, your fat loss efforts will be guaranteed.

But you came to this page looking for the best lower ab workout around, so here are a few exercises you can try right now.

Remember that training your abs is different than training other muscles. If you were working your biceps, you might try doing 3 sets of 10 reps for a few different exercises. For your lower abs, you will want to do a special sequence of exercises with little rest in between. This is called abdominal circuit training.

Here are some of the best lower ab exercises to try:

1. Alternating Supine Leg Walks

Start off by laying on your back with your hands under your buttocks. Lift your legs so they are vertical. Contract your abs so your midsection is tense.

Then, lower 1 leg so your foot is a few inches from the ground. Hold there for about 1 second, then return that leg to the starting position. Alternate which leg you lower.

Try a reps and really try to feel the lower abs working.

2. Supine Reverse Crunches

Start off by laying on your back with your hands under your buttocks. Lift your legs so they are vertical, then bend your knees at a 90 degree angle. Contract your abs so your midsection is tense.

Keeping your knees bent at the same angle, slowly lower them until the back of your feet are a few inches above the ground. Then, bring your knees up towards your chest and really squeeze your abs while doing this.

Repeat.

3. Leg Lifts

Start off by laying on your back with your hands under your buttocks. Lift your legs so they are vertical.

Contract your midsection by engaging the upper abs.

Then, lower both legs so that the back of your feet are right above the ground. After holding that position for a few second, return your legs to the vertical position.

Repeat.

All three of those exercises are part of getting the best lower ab workout possible. If you have any lower back problems at all, you should not hesitate to see a doctor for exercise advice. Now you know the basic components of having one of the best lower ab workouts. Remember your safety comes first!

Good luck, and remember to keep learning and stay persistent. =)

Hi, this is Tom, the author of this article. I recently went through an intense 9 week fat loss phase using a program written by a good friend of mine.

You can check out the website and the rest of the story here: http://www.mywarpspeedfatlossreview.com. He used this program to go from 7% body fat to 17% body fat in only 9 weeks!
